Ernest Grover Lockhart Jr.
Ernest Grover Lockhart Jr. was Born into this world on September 22, 1951. He was Born Again in Jesus, in November of 1987 and was a member of the Lewelling Community Church. Ernest died of pancreatic cancer, and Jesus took him Home, December 22, 1995

Memories of Daddy by Summer Lockhart~
He was always joking around but was very anxious, always wanting to tell people about God. He was normally very quiet unless he was around his family, then he was always wisecracking and making someone laugh.. I was his poohbas ( poo-ba-ss) lol!! That is what he called me. I would always spend the summer months with him out in California, and then when I moved to Maryland, I flew out there. Well my dad was a chef, he loved to cook .Anything from Mickey mouse shaped pancakes in the morning with smuckers strawberry or blueberry syrup to his spaghetti, let me tell you it was good. He also LOVED to work in the garden. He built up a whole Japanese garden out back with all sorts of pretty flowers and trees, that would bloom of pink and yellow in the spring and summer.
His hobbies were playing the guitar. He used to have his own band. When he was a teenager, he loved to go hiking in the woods, and when we would go to the cabin he loved to go fishing. He also liked making bonsai trees and cherry trees made of silk flowers for me. He just loved to garden. He also loved to make home movies of me acting crazy. He was ALWAYS making me or someone laugh. And man was he a clean freak, everything was perfectly organized. Always dusting something. And one of his many dreams was to always travel to Japan. He always had a fascination for the orient. He also sponsored two over seas children from the Christian Childrens Fund. I miss you daddy, and will see you soon.
